me while testing baju melayu

hehe, it`s been quite a long time since last time i updated this blog. yeah, i`ve been quite busy finishing my group project and studying for mid term examination. next tuesday will have exam on cell-cell communication and signalling. hope i`m ok with it. btw, when it comes to raya last two weeks, it`s not as superb as expected. well, u couldn`t hope much since this is not a country who really concern about raya, hehe.

after eid prayer!

eid prayer was quite a blast, trust me! all arabians from whole dublin or maybe from other part of ireland came to complete first task of eid celebration. thank god we came a bit early and secured place in hall beneath main place for prayer. i don`t know for how long other muslim fellas had been in main prayer hall as it was already full. the khutbah was quite long since it was preached in two languages -arabic and english. i was touched to witness the greatness of da first day eid scenery =) then, we went to a malaysian family open house which is quite close to the mosque (30minutes slow walk)

malaysian hall open house!!

da next day, we attended open house at malaysian hall! but da food was not as expected, i mean.. i really wanna eat sate but they disappoint me, huhu.. eid celebration at malaysian hall and few other houses do give rise to few memories of celebrating raya in malaysia. in my point of view, it doesn`t matter where u are, or when it is, as long as u know what raya really means, i`m sure it`ll be fantastic after all =) .

in front of malaysian hall =)

UCDians held open houses several times ( or is it 2 times only, hehe ) and during that times we chat, eat and drink like there`s no ending of malaysian culture, yeah we really did. some of us cooked lontong, chicken curry, rendang (nyummy) and other raya food - just like in malaysia, but some of them even have so called dublin style, hahahahha. the saddest part is, i didn`t even had a chance to eat sate during raya, quite pitiful yeah? =( hahaha, i repeated the phrase again.

sad faces during first day of raya, hahaha =D

hm, should have learnt how to cook sate and other malaysian delicacies before came to dublin. anyway, on top of all, i feel that malaysian rocks!!! coz our culture will always remain anywhere we go!! =D
