Having Fun at the Fun Fair!

colourful ferris wheel! ;)

last night, 29th December 2007 my friends and i went to a fun fair nearby RDS industries hall. at first, i thought "is there any fun fair in dublin??" when i was asked to go out with other several guys from UCD. well, the journey was smooth since the place is so close to our previous examination hall. first we hanged out at anas`s house which is a distance walk from the fun fair, and we were having a big feast (yeah, a big feast). special cooked spaghetti and cheese pizzas complemented with orange juice. i helped myslef with two servings of spaghetti and a slice of pizza (i was full when they served the pizzas) then, we walked to the place where the fun part started. as soon as we arrived, lots of pictures already been taken (hehehe) since the place was decorated with all sorts of colourful bulbs especially at the ferris wheel.

of course we won`t waste our time with ferris wheel, just taking pictures though. the first thing we played was "space roller". in my opinion, it`s a combination of "DNA mixer" and the big rolling wheel u could find at times square, malaysia (well there is other times square right?) i was freaked out since i`m the one who sat at the last seat, i would say it`s a bit different experience compared to others who sat at the middle seats. it was horribly scary, i would say. my world turned upside down and i was like thrown here and there, and it is not for 1 or 2 rounds but few rounds! all of us were screaming like hell, hahahah ;D
frightening moment before space roller doing its work!
after that, we rode a roller coaster just next to space roller. the journey was also exciting! from slow to the speed of sound! but it`s just for one round, i really hope if they could extend it for another 2 rounds :P but to be frank, none of this is comparable to soleron shoot in genting!!! u guys out there who haven`t tried it yet, it`s highly recommended! but not recommended for pregnant woman, kids and other soft hearted person, hehe.
last picture before heading back home
well, i think that`s all cause after that, we went straight home as there is none other thing much interesting compared to those two. all in all, it was one of the best experience in dublin so far ;D

my personal comment:
well, it`s rather cheap for an entertainment projector, basically it`s made for kids but hey who cares right? u could project your games or videos at the wall or ceiling and perhaps enjoy yourself watching your pictures of your beloved one on the ceiling before sleep. eventhough the image/video projected is not comparable to other state of the art projectors but in my opinion, satisfied enough for personal use. personal use in this case is when u don`t care much about the quality and preferably just for small audience. the replacement bulb is also very cheap :) (that`s what we wanna know!!) all in all, i would say that if u r not a video geek or very particular about how your image should be projected and wanna save some money, then this is the right choice for you. in the end, u get what u paid for, right? ;)
